First Mention of Christopher Greatorex appears in the Blyth Parish Records recording his Baptism.

Christened 19th October 1788,  from Blyth Parish Register.
"Christopher, son of Daniel and Eliz....? Greatorex of Hodsock, baptised" (prob Elizabeth)

Per the Blyth/NTT Parish Register, Christopher Greatorex married a Sarah Laughton at Blyth on the 20th Sept 1811. "Marriage by Banns", with witness's George Greatorex and Ralph Taylor.

Not much known about Christopher. On his son William's (Baptised 2nd March 1828) marriage certificate, Christopher's occupation listed as "Farmer" though this could mean something as humble as an Agricultural Labourer.

Nothing known of his death but a Christopher GREGORY of Hodsock,
aged 60, buried 16th December 1849 taken from Blyth PR's. It would not be the first time that a Greatorex has been listed as a Gregory especially in the early part of the 19th Century and late 18th Century.
